Ran 1.65m tonight.
Not much else to say.
Not much else to say.
First, I need to share this with y’all because it is completely ridiculous.
I was at the library at lunch and this book caught my attention. It was a book about different ways to dress “thinner” and, since I have no fashion sense and have no idea how to look good, I browsed through it. Some pages were quite informative.
But then I came across this page:

o_O SERIOUSLY???
Mind - blown. It’s sad, because some people probably do go to the gym and try to look good. Here’s the thing though - it shouldn’t matter. You’re there to work out and get fit & healthy… not to “look good”. It saddened me.
Ok, onto October health/financial/life goals!!
Well, I think that’s it! Here’s to an awesome (and positive) October!!!
Sometimes, nothing is better than a good cup o’ Joe. I prefer mine nice and creamy, but it’s still good.
I’m watching Game 1 of the NLDS (dear Phillies, please get it together!) with my boyfriend, then we’ll be off to see friends we haven’t seen in far too long.
And THEN tomorrow morning, an unofficial 5k in preparation for an official 5k in a week.
In other news, I may need to swallow my pride and re-sign up for a membership at the local LA Fitness. :-/
Cuz it’ll be cold soon and I’m a baby when it comes to running in less than stellar conditions.
Happy October!!
One month: no negative posts.
That’s it in all its simplicity. Any time you are about to hit post, reread it and change any negative thought into something positive and post that instead.
One month should be long enough to form a habit of replacing negative thoughts with positive ones.
Don’t…
GREAT IDEA for a OCTOBER CHALLENGE!!
Yes!! Awesome idea, let’s see how well I can execute it!
(via full-iron)
This stuff is so yummy!! Add a splash of milk and sugar and it’s perfect!
My boyfriend sent me this link. So true… I love fall. Hands down, the best season.
I’ve made my fitness goal list for October already. At the top of the list:
** Start Crossfit (courtesy of Groupon - 3 intro classes, 10 CrossFit or GFit classes & 1 hour nutritional guidance - all for $35!!!!)
The full list will follow shortly, along with a recap of September. I can’t believe it’s practically over!
Hi guys. It’s me, Amanda.
1. My glasses may or may not be crooked.
2. I ran 2.8 miles tonight. It was quite humid and I sweat easily. As shown in my SUPER shiny forehead.
3. Two days after the half marathon, I got most of my hair cut off. Seriously, it’s crazy short (for me) and I can’t pull it back. Time to invest in either sport headbands or bandanas. Honestly though, I sorta liked how free I felt with my hair au natural. Hmm.
4. My face looks like I didn’t have a good time, but I can assure you - it’s GOOD to be back baaaaby!!!!
5. When is fall weather gonna get here??
A sample of food for the day.
Vanilla Spice Perfect Energy Yogi Tea - yummy and reminds me of fall!
Gala Apple - mid morning snack
Spiced Wafers - 3 cookies a serving, to go with my Amy’s Spinach Lasagna Frozen Dinner for lunch.
Cliff Z Bar - mid afternoon snack, if I need it
And of course WATER!
You know that weight loss/getting healthier is like, mostly food related? Yeah, I know that too. But knowing and doing are two completely different things. Soooo here’s to DOING!
Quote for today:
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” - Steve Jobs
